How do I print on my office network printer directly from a remote windows server 2008 r2 system?

I am using a windows 8 machine to connect to a windows server 2008 r2 machine, taken from godaddy.com
I was able to use the printer feature normally when I first started using it, and the host system displayed any printer that was connected to the client computer. Just hitting ctrl + P was all I had to do.
Now the printer all of a sudden has stopped appearing and I am unable to print.
Please note, I have checked that while connecting through remote desktop window, in local resources, printers and all other check boxes are checked. I have also installed a hp laserjet 3055 driver on to the host in attempt to configure. Have also enabled easy print through the group policy settings for the same, but no success so far.
